new scandinavian - dutch vocal group with 6 singers who are also instrumentalist and composers. I didn't realize how much I enjoy singing until I became member of this group! At the moment we're developing material for our upcoming album which will be recorded sometime in the fall of this year. The members are:

Maaike van der Linde - vocals and flutes, Margriet Sjoerdsma - vocals, piano and guitar, Julia Werner - vocals, guitar and percussion, Anne Marie Roel Messerschmidt - vocals, percussion, Thora Sveinsdottir - vocals, viola and yours truly on the cello and vocals 

Vera van der Bie - violin,voice, fx, Rani Kumar - viola, voice, fx, Annie Tångberg - cello, voice,fx

West Side Trio accompanies silent films, do spacious performances and play concerts. The special WST sound is based on string instruments with live electronics and voices- Our first CD "Apocalyptic Sunrise" was released in 2015.

We also collaborate with different artists.  Coming up this year is a tour with singer Margriet Sjoerdsma and Odelion Orchestra in Indonesia as well as a tour in the Netherlands and Belgium with singer Jonathan Jeremiah

We recorded numerous CD's and did many sessions for movies and commercials. -Some of them with our own string arrangements: with Yentl en de Boer (live at the Concertgebouw), Margriet Sjoerdsma, Sonja van Hamel and Bill Laurance.
