Noorderheim

During the lockdown I got contacted by jazz singer Kristina Fuchs and filmmaker Saskia van den Heuvel. They had set out to document the empty cultural spaces and the artists in Amsterdam Noord - thanks to them I got to meet some really nice musicians and also; for the first time performing with my cousin Jurriaan Bles, usually working as a dancer in Vienna but now for various reasons stuck in my house during the lockdown. What a lovely surprise in difficult times. Check the website NOORDERHEIM for more musical meetings.

Live at the Bimhuis with Konrad Koselleck Big Band

On the 15th of june 2015 I did a concert with Konrad Koselleck and his bigband at the Bimhuis. He arranged some of my favorite Norwegian tunes especially for this show and I think he did an amazing job.

Here you can see a fragment from "Samba des Furies" - originally W. Gluck and jazzified by Konrad Koselleck and the Norwegian folk tune "I Ola Dalom" Grieg version with K. Koselleck arrangement.

West Side Trio in De Balie

The European Cultural Commission invited the West Side Trio to make music for Siebe de Boers animated short film "Osvald - the ovarian lottery". This is a recording from WST's performance at the launch of the book "Remappings - the making of european narratives" held at the Balie in december. Big thanks to the ECC, Siebe de Boer and Nandine Karnebeek for making this possible!
